Marilyn Hoff Hansen:
A Retrospective

May 5 - August 13, 2016

Idaho native Marilyn Hoff Hansen’s largest and most comprehensive exhibit to date, A Retrospective features work from a career spanning over seven decades including many of her signature paintings, sculpture and drawings alongside rarely seen examples from private collections.

Using a multitude of media ranging from welded steel, cast and direct cement, bronze, acrylic and ink. Hansen captures the elemental beauty of physical forms through line, breathing grace and a timeless energy into recurring subject matter such as horses, hills and female figures.

Illumination: Light as Medium
August 25 – November 5, 2016

An exploration of light as an artistic medium, Illumination features “Buckyball 2015” by renowned American sculptor Leo Villareal, a pioneer in the use of LEDs and computer-driven sculpture. Also showcasing Light Impressions on Tour, an iPhoneography exhibit featuring 40 photographers from around the world curated by international photographer Colleen Duffley.

SARA: Dream, Myth
and Dramatic Episodes

January 19 – March 25, 2017

Dramatic in color, composition, and emotion, the exhibit includes paintings, works on paper, clay forms and “half-bodies” inspired by dreams chronicled in daily journals by prolific self-taught, Idaho artist Sara Joyce (1923- 2011). Often abstract and surreal in nature, Joyce believed in the power of suggestion over representation of the actual.
