Exploring Gouache - The Opaque Watercolor with Sally Cannon Ellis

April 16 - 18, Thursday - Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM

Join respected artist and educator Sally Cannon Ellis for an in-depth exploration of gouache, the rich and opaque cousin of watercolor. Working with a limited primary palette, students will investigate essential principles of color theory, light and shadow, value, and thoughtful design.

Through focused exercises and guided instruction, participants will strengthen line quality, develop dynamic value patterns, and learn to identify and refine their natural design tendencies. With over twenty-two years of university teaching experience in watercolor, color theory, and design, Sally brings deep expertise and a structured, encouraging approach to every lesson.

All levels are welcome.
