The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho's Permanent Collection is a growing resource that supports exhibitions, education, research, and lifelong learning. While only a portion of the collection can be displayed in the museum at any given time, this online catalog provides access to works that help tell the story of our region, celebrate artistic achievement, and inspire curiosity and connection.
As a regional leader in the visual arts, and the only art museum in Southeast Idaho, TAM is committed to preserving and sharing artwork for the benefit of current and future generations. EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
The online permanent collection is also an excellent resource for educators, especially those who live in the eastern Idaho region. Many of the artworks in the permanent collection represent places or scenes that students may be familiar with and often lack representation in other art spaces. The collection affirms that their lived experiences are worthy of being memorialized through art, and can be used by teachers to empower students, guide them through art exhibits, and introduce them to local artists without leaving the classroom.
Teachers can use the online permanent collection in conjunction with TAM’s free resources for teachers, which are available on our website! For example, you can filter artwork through its medium, such as watercolor, to find examples for the watercolor lesson plan on our website.
