6 Week Adult Watercolor Course

Wednesdays, Oct. 7th - Nov. 11th, 2026, 5:30 - 7 PM

This six-week course guides adult beginners through the core fundamentals of drawing. Each 90-minute class builds on the previous one, progressing from basic mark-making to a completed, polished portfolio piece by Week 6. No prior experience is required. 

Learn the fundamentals of watercolor in this six-week course designed for beginner and intermediate artists. Explore techniques like color-mixing, brushwork, and composition through hands-on exercises, mini paintings, and a final finished piece. Each class is designed to combine instruction and demonstration with individual painting time where students can receive guidance and feedback.

14+ (students under 18 will require a parent or guardian's signature)

$75 for members, $90 for non-members

*Individuals may only sign up for either the drawing OR watercolor class as they are concurrent and cannot be attended at the same time.

Photo Release

I, the undersigned, hereby grant permission to The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho the right to reproduce, publish, exhibit, or distribute photographs of the student. It is understood that the student's name may be printed with his/her photo. It is further understood that these rights extend only to educational and non-profit uses, and that further permission will be required for commercial uses for profit.

Refund Policy

  • If we cancel a class for any reason, we will notify you immediately and you will receive a full refund.
  • If you withdraw from a class three weeks prior to the starting date of the class, we refund your tuition less a 10% processing fee.
  • No refunds will be made on withdrawals within three weeks of the starting date.
