Sacred Spaces
The story of the American West is written in its fields, barns, and open landscapes—places where generations have worked the land with dedication, shaping not only their livelihoods but also the cultural fabric of the region. Sacred Spaces: Visions of the West from the Prosaic to the Sublime pays tribute to the honor and dignity of agricultural life, showcasing the works of David Dibble, Bryan Mark Taylor, Josh Clare, Allie Zeyer, Louisa Lorenz and Carson Thompson, six celebrated artists whose paintings capture the essence of the rural West.
This exhibition explores the rhythms of farm life, the quiet beauty of cultivated fields, and the enduring strength of those who work the land. From the golden light of early morning harvests to the expansive vistas that remind us of the vastness and promise of the West, these paintings reflect a way of life that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
More than a visual celebration, Sacred Spaces invites viewers to reflect on the heritage and traditions that have shaped the region, honoring the labor, perseverance, and spirit of those who continue to forge a living from the land. It is a tribute to the spaces—both humble and grand—that define our past, sustain our present, and inspire our future.
